Oct/2006 Western Suburbs Rapid Challenge 2006

The WSRC is played over 2 legs home and away; the first leg will be held at Rooty Hill RSL on November 27th with the return leg the same week held at Parramatta RSL on November 30th.

The playing conditions are 4 games of 20 minute guillotine chess a night. All players are seeded according to their ratings with seeds 1 & 2 playing their opposition with both B

lack and White pieces, this continues through the field until all players are paired.

To win the Shield the team must have the most points over both legs. Last year Parramatta won the inaugural title by half a point coming from a substantial deficit.

All those wishing to play should contact either:

Peter Cassettari at Rooty Hill Chess Club: pcass@zeta.org.au or

Shane Burgess at Parramatta Chess Club: shaneburgess32@yahoo.com.au
